I'll be sharing exactly how I went from being completely unknown to creating a huge social media presence that is recognized and paid attention too.
This is me when I first entered the business world all those years ago. I was confused and overwhelmed and had no idea what I was doing.
I had no idea when I started out how much I actually needed to learn to find success.
Growing a business is far from just trying to sell what you offer.
I also had to master marketing so people could actually see what I offered and how I could help them.
Once I figured out how to stand out and get eyeballs on what I was doing, it all began to change - like crazy good change!
Here is how it all began...
My first business venture..........epic failure!
The year was 2005. And back then there was no online anything.......
My husband and I were busy working in our careers, living paycheck to paycheck starting our family. It was when "home parties" were all the rage!
I saw the opportunity of having time freedom and choice and I could envision an entirely different life for us.
So, I said to myself, well, what am I interested in that could lead me to having that different life?
Oh my..........yes I just jumped! Not rationale at all!
And my first business was born..........my homemade candle company!
I poured everything into it.......time, money, tears and certainly my heart and soul.
However, 3 very important things were missing: money to sustain my business, knowledge on marketing myself and my ability to not vomit when making candles because we were expanding our family and I constantly had morning sickness and physically couldn't tolerate the scents of my own candles........
So...........I was forced to shut it all down.
I was absolutely devastated and felt like such a failure.
I had people asking me all the time to keep making candles because they loved them but I ran out of money, had no idea how to find new people to talk to about my business and physically couldn't.
So I went back to my typical life with my 9-5, living paycheck to paycheck, kids and chaos and I was EXHAUSTED and definitely not my happiest.......
One day, a co-worker of mine who was normally as exhausted as I was, told me how energized she was finally feeling because of something new she was taking.........ohhhh did I need something like that in my life!
And that's when I was introduced to another aspect of business: Network Marketing!
My goodness did I love the product............my goodness did I hate what was attached to it.

The culture was constant competition. I lost friends because of trying to sell to them. I had people I knew see me in public and literally walk the other way when they saw me, heck I even had people screaming at me because they didn't like the product sample I gave them - it was truly horrific!
I was out............nothing was worth going through that.......I'll just go back to feeling exhausted!
I went back to "that regular life" AGAIN.
Only this time, I knew there was so much more for me.
This is when I knew that the entrepreneurial spirit in my heart was calling stronger than ever to discover a way to provide for our family and anyone else who ever wanted a life without more worry than they needed!
I began to explore working with different companies and received the exact same kind of trainings as before, but I refused to let that be the answer to how to build a sustainable business!
And so my mission began towards discovering how to build a business that would last, no matter if a company shuts down or if you change companies or if you decide to pursue something different in your business.....
I found amazing mentors that took me under their wings.
I invested tens of thousands of dollars into programs and courses.
I worked with incredible coaches who taught me the skills and strategies on building a sustainable business.
I continue to receive coaching ongoing and invest constantly in myself and my business to level up.
During my very long journey, I discovered many things along the way and experienced awesome success doing it my way.
In the process I fell more in love with what the actual answer was to securing a sustainable business than I did with any product - building your own personal brand!
So I shifted course and combined my 20 years of training experience with my education on personal branding and the rest is history!
I am doing what I love and because I believe in the value of sharing everything I know, I am able to provide that to you now!
I didn't start out building a brand, I started out simply wanting something different from life.
Trust me...........not everyone around me truly believes in me.
You know, the traditional minds and the employee mind-set peeps.....they pretty much think I'm crazy and ask for explanations of what I do because they truly have no idea...and that's okay, they don't need to understand.
I had to learn that the only person's approval that I needed was my own!
I had to learn that other people's opinions of me was none of my business.
I had to learn that I wasn't going to be liked by everyone.
I had to learn that the higher I rose, the more I would be hated..........and loved.
It's all in what we give value to......that is our choice!
